SCMAP Visayas Academic Director Dr. Capt. Rodien Paca earned a scholarship to attend the UNITED NATIONS PORT MANAGEMENT MASTERAL at Dublin, Ireland last May 2016. It was a very prestigious event attended by 13 countries around the world and only with Selected 32 participants from the Public and Port Operators around the world.
The Masteral class is implemented by UNCTAD (UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE on TRADE and DEVELOPMENT) and hosted by the Dublin Port Company. 21 International speakers were assigned as speakers and instructors.
Aside the Masteral Class, Dr Paca also attended the EUROPE CRUISE CONFERENCE at IRELAND and EURO PORT CONFERENCE and SUMMIT also in Dublin Ireland. Capt Paca is a ship Captain with MBA from Middlesex University London major in Shipping & Logistics and conferred with Doctorate in Maritime Management. With new UNCTAD Port Management Diploma and UNCTAD top graduate, Capt Paca promised to share his knowledge to SCMAP for “GO WORLD CLASS” VISION.
IRELAND Ministry of State for Financial Services, EGovt and Public Procurement Mr. Eoghan Murphy presented Dr. Paca his new UNCTAD Port Masteral Diploma
Dr. Rodien Paca representing all the 32 students around the world, delivered his speech in front of UNCTAD representatives, each countries’ representatives , Irish Aid representatives and IRELAND Ministry of State.
